Responsible for the efficient, dependable operation and maintenance of the utilities operations regarding power production, maintenance and warehouse departments.

1. Reports directly to General Manager
2. Supervises power production, maintenance, warehouse operations.

A. Supervises all staff responsible for the power production, maintenance, and warehouse. Directs the operation, repair, maintenance and testing of associated utility operations.
B. Reviews production reports to ensure efficient operations. Recommends changes to improve efficiency.
C. Analyzes fuel consumption and power output reports to determine the need for maintenance and repair.
D. Develops and implements maintenance schedules for generating equipment to minimize malfunctions.
E. Responsible for scheduling shifts of all operational personnel.
F. Ensures all operations comply with environmental regulations.
G. Develops and recommends annual goals, budgets and personnel plans to the General Manager for approval.
H. Responsible for personnel administration relating to power production, maintenance and warehouse operations.
I. Responsible for NERC compliance program.
J. Performs other related duties as assigned by the General Manager.

C. Industry professionals: Confers, cooperates and works with when required.
D. Law enforcement: Confers and cooperates with when required.
E. General public: Maintains good relations in all contacts with the general public.

Job Knowledge:
Safe work methods and safety practices pertaining to work;
Must have a phone.
Ability to:
Communicate effectively with employees and the public;
Climb stairs and ladders to view generation equipment;
Function as a team player.
Education and Experience:
Any combination of experience and education that would likely produce the qualifying knowledge and ability. A typical combination is
Requires college degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
Five-Ten (5-10) years’ progressively responsible experience in power production operations.
Licenses and Certificates:
Possession of a valid driver’s license issued from the State of Mississippi.
